Dr. Brandy Brown is an innovative energy expert who is best known for leading the development of equitable advanced energy projects, workforce development initiatives, and mobility solutions. Dr. Brown is the founder of Sadberry Singer, a public benefit corporation focused on equitable climate & energy solutions. She formerly served as the Chief Innovation Officer of Walker-Miller Energy services, the premier Detroit-based energy services B corp focused on equity in the clean energy economy. Dr. Brown also formerly served as the inaugural Climate & Energy Advisor within the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes & Energy. In that role she led the Office of Climate & Energy and was responsible for developing the policy and implementation strategy for state-wide decarbonization efforts, coordinating state departments on climate action, providing guidance to local governments, and advancing renewable energy throughout Michigan. Additionally, Dr. Brown is honored to serve as an appointee to Michigan's National Resources Trust Fund Board in addition to serving on the boards of the Michigan Climate Action Network (MiCAN) and Oji:sda’.

Jim P. Zheng joined the faculty of the UB Department of Electrical Engineering in Spring 2020 as SUNY Empire Innovation Professor. He had been the faculty of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Florida A&M University and Florida State University from 1997 to 2020, as Associate Professor, Professor, and Sprint Eminent Scholar Chair Professor. Prior to this, he had been worked at Army Research Laboratory from 1992 to 1997. He is the recipient of National Academy of Inventors Fellow, National Research Council Fellow, Army Research & Development Achievement Award, NASA Faculty Research Award, and Progress Energy Professional Development Award. He has published more than 180 articles in scholarly journals, and 140 papers in conference proceedings in the fields of energy storage, fuel cells, nano-sensors, photonics, and thin film growth, and been awarded 23 patents, and 5 patents have been licensed by private companies.

Dr. Alex Khang is a Professor in Information Technology (IT), AI and data scientist, software industry expert, and the chief of technology officer (AI and Data Science Research Center) at the Global Research Institute of Technology and Engineering, North Carolina, United States. He has over 28 years of teaching and research experience in information technology at the Universities of Science and Technology in Vietnam, India, and USA. He has published 52 authored books (in computer science 2000-2010), 2 authored books (software development), and 20 book chapters. Professor Moses Tade is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. He has made significant contributions to Chemical Engineering research at the highest level in the field of Process Systems Engineering and Energy Systems. He has received substantial funding from both industry and the Australian Research Council (ARC) for his projects. He has successfully supervised over 70 PhD students, several Masters’ students, and research fellows with colleagues. He has published 5 books on various aspects of his work as well as over 400 research papers with a career H-index of 98 and over 35,800 citations (making him a Globally Highly Cited Researcher in the Cross Discipline area, https://clarivate.com/webofsciencegroup/). He is the founding Editor-in-Chief of Asia-Pacific J. of Chem. Eng. (www.apjChemEng.com), a Fellow of IChemE and an Honorary Fellow of Engineers Australia and a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Eng. He was listed in the Top 100 Australia’s most Influential Engineers in 2008 and was the Chair of IChemE in Australia in 2012 and 2013. He was the President of the Australian Council of Eng. Dr. Gordon Huang is a Professor & Canada Research Chair at the Faculty of Engineering and Executive Director at the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities, University of Regina, Regina, Canada. His research interests include planning of energy and environmental systems, synchrotron-based environmental chemistry and biochemistry, climate modeling and downscaling, and simulation of hydrological and environmental systems. Dr. Huang supervised over 100 graduate students (with degrees awarded), including 44 Ph.D., 54 M.A.Sc. (Thesis Option), 25 M.Eng. (Project Option), 49 B.A.Sc. (4th-Yr Project). Over 20 of his Ph.D. graduates were appointed as faculty members at universities in Canada, the USA, the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China.

I am a Professor in the College of Energy Engineering at Zhejiang University. My research interest is LNG cold energy utilization, hydrated based desalination and energy process design and optimization, etc. I worked as a Postdoc Research Fellow in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) from 2017 to 2018 and an Associate Professor at the China University of Petroleum (East China) from 2018 to 2023.

Prof. Bin CHEN received his Ph.D degree in thermal engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, 2002. During 2002-2004, he worked as JSPS (Japan Society for Promotion Science) postdoc research fellow in Tokyo University. Now he is full professor, working as vice-director of State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. For more than decades, he has devoted his efforts to the research of heat transfer and fluid flow in efficient and clean utilization of fossil energy as well as large-scaleand low-cost conversion of renewable energy, especially in supercritical water gasification for hydrogen production by biomass and organic wastes. Up to now, he has published over 150 peer-reviewed journal papers and was invited for more than 30 keynote speeches.

Jung-Chang Wang (J.-C. Wang) is a full Professor and Dean in the School of Marine Engineering (D.M.E.), National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), Keelung, Taiwan, and is also the Director of the Thermal-Fluid Illumination Laboratory. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and Mechanical PhD from National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taiwan in 2007. He has been teaching and researching on electronic heat transfer and renewable energy for more than ten years. He has published more than 100 research papers in international journals, conferences and patents, and edited seven book chapters. His main research interest includes applied and software engineering in thermal-fluid science.

Iickho Song (S'80-M'87-SM'96) received the B.S.E. (magna cum laude) and M.S.E. degrees in electronics engineering from Seoul National University in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and the M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and 1987, respectively. He was a Member of Technical Staff of Bell Communications Research in 1987. In 1988, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, Korea Advanced Science and Technology (KAIST), where he is now a Professor. He has coauthored Advanced Theory of Signal Detection (Springer, 2002) and has published a number of papers on signal detection and CDMA systems. His research interests include detection and estimation theory, statistical communication theory and signal processing, and CDMA systems. Dr. Song served as Treasurer of the IEEE Korea Section in 1989. He has received many awards, including the Young Scientists Award presented by the President of the Republic of Korea in 2000.

Dr. Seppo Sirkemaa works at Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku. His office is at University Consortium of Pori. He holds a Ph.D. and a master degree in information systems science from the Turku School of Economics and Business Administration. Dr Sirkemaa has worked at various academic positions, as professor of information systems management and as a research professor at Turku School of Economics and Business Administration. He has been the vice director of Turku School of Economics and Business Administration, Pori Unit during 2003–2008. He has acted as professor in Entrepreneurship at University of Turku. He is a Research Associate at the Soft Energy Applications and Environmental Protection Laboratory, University of Western Attica, and a Senior Research Associate at the National Technical University of Athens. Dr. Koroneos holds advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Columbia University, USA, where he also served as a faculty member. His prolific academic career includes over 100 scientific journal articles, 23 books, and leadership in numerous international research initiatives. Rafael Herzberg is a seasoned energy consultant with over 40 years of experience in energy and electrical engineering. Previously, he was a consulting partner at Interact Energy Consulting for 26 years and CEO of Construções Elétrica ELTEC S/A, where he led a joint venture with Alcoa Cable Division. GHEORGHE GRIGORAȘ is a Full Professor at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Energetics and Applied Informatics, Romania. He is the author of 17 books, 15 book chapters, and more than 300 articles having as the research topic applications of Artificial Intelligence techniques in various research areas regarding the control and supervisory of the power systems (load modelling, power quality, increasing the energy efficiency in the electric networks, optimal integration of renewable energy sources in the electrical networks). These research topics were motivated by the current technological developments in the Power Engineering field and the gradual implementation of the Smart Grid concept. He is a Topic Editor for two journals indexed by WoS (Mathematics - ISSN: 2227-7390) and Applied Sciences - ISSN 2076-3417). Professor Grigoras was a Guest Editor of five Special Issues for peer-reviewed journals indexed by WoS. He was a General Chair of 8 international conferences and a member of over 300 technical program committees of the international symposia and conferences carried out in countries from Europe, Asia, North America, Australia, and Africa. He is a Member of the International Association of Engineers and the World Academy of Science, Engineering, and Technology.

I have about 17 years of experience in the domain of climate change, sustainability and renewables while working with varied national and international organizations of repute. Conducting capacity building including deep dives, boot camps and virtual events is my current undertaking including briefers, handouts, concept and white papers workable notings and writeups for communication to varied stakeholders. Abdessamad Didi (Ph.D.) has previous expertise acting in nuclear physics, medical physics and Monte Carlo methods, and more recently became a researcher doctor at CNESTEN, Rabat, Morocco since 2019. He received the PhD from Sidi Mohamed ben Abdellah University, Fez in 2017. He has published a good number of papers in journals and conferences in the last few years, most of which are related to nuclear energy, simulation, medical physics and spallation physics. He is reviewer and in the editorial board of different journals. He was associated with more than 30 international conferences as a Program Committee/Advisory Board/Review Board member.

Clement Kumi Quansah is a Ghanaian professional with over 10 years of experience in the solar PV and electrical distribution industry. He is an expert in leading and delivering large-scale solar projects, overseeing all phases from concept to completion. Clement holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering – Smart Grid and Building from Grenoble INP, ENSE 3, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Engineering Technologies from St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University, LETI. He is proficient in industry-standard engineering tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and Microsoft Office Suite. Currently serving as the Construction and Operations Manager at Starsight Energy Ghana, Clement leads multidisciplinary teams, manages project execution, and fosters client relationships to promote solar energy adoption. He also works as a freelance Energy Consultant, providing detailed site assessments, feasibility studies, and financial analysis for solar PV projects. A certified member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering, the Association of Energy Professionals Ghana, and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Clement is dedicated to advancing renewable energy solutions in sub-Saharan Africa.
