Jim P. Zheng joined the faculty of the UB Department of Electrical Engineering in Spring 2020 as SUNY Empire Innovation Professor. He was born in Kassel, Germany and has been living in Chile for 12 years to lead the development of wpd in the country, which today has 3 wind farms in operation: Lomas de Duqueco and Negrete in the Biobío region and Malleco, in La Araucanía. Professor Moses Tade is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia. He has made significant contributions to Chemical Engineering research at the highest level in the field of Process Systems Engineering and Energy Systems. He has received substantial funding from both industry and the Australian Research Council (ARC) for his projects. He has successfully supervised over 70 PhD students, several Masters’ students, and research fellows with colleagues. Now he is full professor, working as vice-director of State Key Laboratory of Multiphase Flow in Power Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University. Jung-Chang Wang (J.-C. Wang) is a full Professor and Dean in the School of Marine Engineering (D.M.E.), National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), Keelung, Taiwan, and is also the Director of the Thermal-Fluid Illumination Laboratory. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and Mechanical PhD from National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taiwan in 2007. He has been teaching and researching on electronic heat transfer and renewable energy for more than ten years. She holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Systems Engineering from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and currently works remotely as an Environmental Engineer at Carbmee, where she performs LCA and Product Carbon Footprint assessments for various clients in the energy sector. Seyma has extensive experience in renewable energy systems, including her work on perovskite and organic solar cells at Fraunhofer ISE and Sabanci University, where she contributed to the design, manufacturing, and testing of solar technologies. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from TU Delft and am currently completing my Master’s in Industrial Engineering and Management. Over the past few years, I have worked as a Data Scientist at Aerones, where I developed tools such as a leading-edge repair quality tool, calculators for assessing the impact of leading-edge erosion, weather-related planning tools, lightning impact analysis frameworks, and cost-of-service calculators. Mastaneh Hosseinzadeh is a Renewable Energy Engineer with an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy Engineering (Distinction) from Kingston University London, where she earned the Best Postgraduate Project Award for her research on optimizing energy efficiency in steel plants through Pinch Analysis. She also holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Energy Conversion) and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (Heat and Fluids). Abdessamad Didi (Ph.D.) has previous expertise acting in nuclear physics, medical physics and Monte Carlo methods, and more recently became a researcher doctor at CNESTEN, Rabat, Morocco since 2019. He has published a good number of papers in journals and conferences in the last few years, most of which are related to nuclear energy, simulation, medical physics and spallation physics. His research is focused on the energy sciences and engineering such as drying of deformable porous media, irreversibility’s in porous media, energy storage, thermo-acoustic, fuel cells, heat and mass transfer in porous microsystems, compressible flow in porous media, Pulsating and oscillating flow in porous media, Lattice Boltzmann Method . He is also a reviewer in some journals (JPM, IJHMT, ESE, IJR, ICHMT, Process, Energies, ect…).
